Catekk (estrela, flash digital, flexschallplatten)
Bereits in frühen Teenagerjahren tauschte caTekk seine Lego-Technik gegen Mischpult und Plattenspieler ein, der Rest ging Schlag auf Schlag: Erste Gigs mit 16, erste Residency im Innsbrucker kreiSlauf Club mit 19. Nach dem Umzug nach Wien folgte der Start einer erfolgreichen DJ-Karriere, sowie die ersten Release auf Flex Schallplatten, Contakt Music oder Flash Digital. Trotz einer Reihe erachtenswerter Erfolge steht caTekk mit 23 Jahren erst am Anfang seiner Karriere.
Als DJ wie als Produzent zeichnen caTekk ein untrügliches Gespür für dramatische Spannungsbögen, ausgefeilte Technik und nahezu infantile Verspieltheit aus. Wichtig sind ihm dabei keine oberflächlichen Stilschubladen, sondern in erster Linie Harmonie, Vielfalt und der Ausdruck großer Gefühle.

NEO-TRANCE THEME OF THE YEAR!!! Angels of kindness are seesawing in their fluffy clouds while eavesdropping the new opus – and yes, one can easily call it an opus – of caTekk. Dunning the sound creeps up (up from the Viennese Flex Club?) through this mundane labyrinth. Muse awakened the apocalyptic riders with its kiss and instead of the twilight of gods you are served subtle grooves, which only admit Zeus’ sharp lightning to pass through the thunderclouds of bass. Thunderstorm and labyrinth makes, how could it else be? A Markus Lange Remix, who obviously enjoyed remixing this big theme, while following caTekk’s traces in the wind. Who’s still missing? Yes, Newbornchristians must be around, when it comes to Remixes with the perfect relation between foolishness and intelligence.
